The Vapid Chino is a 2-door muscle car introduced into GTA 5 and GTA Online as part of the Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 Update. The Vapid Chino is a large 2 door coupe of late 1960’s design, very similar to the Albany Virgo released in the previous DLC (Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1 Update). Its overall design, especially in the side profile, appears to be derived primarily from a 1965 Lincoln Continental with some features from the related (same designer) 1965 Chrysler Imperial models. It also bears some similarities to early 1970s Ford Thunderbirds and LTD’s.
The Vapid Chino has a powerful 462cui V8 300HP engine that is able to provide both good acceleration and top speed 193 kph. Its long wheelbase and small tires also result in poor cornering and stability, often requiring the aid of the handbrake to make moderately sharp turns. At its top speed the Chino handles badly but if turned just slightly it will not spin.
The Vapid Chino is a hardtop coupe but can be customized at Los Santos Customs to remove the roof entirely or replace it with a non-retractable fabric top. By default the vehicle comes with custom low profile tires and wheels when purchased from Legendarymotorsport.net. In GTA Onine, the Vapid Chino can be fitted with a Los Santos Customs or ‘Los Santos’ plaque similar to the Vapid Peyote.
