Rockstar has confirmed that GTA 5 will be getting a first-person mode when it arrives on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on November 18. The new First Person Mode will be an exclusive feature for next-gen(PlayStation 4, Xbox One) consoles and PC, while the current-gen gaming platforms are restricted to third-person mode only. Interestingly, Rockstar has officially confirmed via Rockstar-Newswire that the First Person Mode will be extended to Grand Theft Auto Online in addition to the story mode, which will introduce many exciting new features such as provision for an optional first person cover system, a more traditional FPS control scheme, a new targeting system, and integration of thousands of new animations into the existing game.  You can play in either first or third person mode, and you can switch between the two options with a single button press, both in free mode and during matches. Rockstar Games has also introduced the option to allow players to create first person mode or third person mode only matches, if that’s what players want to do.

Rockstar has also said that vehicles and weapons introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online so far through updates to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be available in GTA 5’s story mode on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 at launch.

Alongside the new First Person mode, GTA 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC features hundreds of additions and enhancements including 1080p resolution at 30FPS on Xbox One and PS4 (4K resolution compatible on PC). The PC version of GTA 5 arrives January 27, 2015.
